NASHVILLE, Tenn. – (MAY 1, 2013) LifeWay Christian Resources unveils a new logo for WORDsearch Bible Software, one of the first steps in an ongoing strategy to improve overall user experience. Users of WORDsearch Bible solutions will now discover a new look and feel to the WORDsearchBible.com website, as well as the company’s Facebook, Twitter, and blog pages.
We firmly believe that good design honors God and respects our customers. We are committed to provide a design experience that is clean, elegant and true to our Christian principles.” – Bayron Benítez, WORDsearch Designer
Over the past few months, we’ve been working diligently to make significant design changes to our online presence. We’re excited to announce that in the next few days, you’ll see our website, our blog, and our Facebook & Twitter pages have been completely updated. We think the new design will make visiting, shopping, and interacting with the WORDsearch community an easier and more enjoyable experience.
Last week, two of us WORDsearch ladies attended the Daily Disciples 8th Annual Women’s Conference. The theme of the event was The Power of Friendships, and the foundational verse for the gathering was John 15:13, “No one has greater love than this, that someone would lay down his life for his friends.” Tonilee Adamson and Bobbye Brooks, founders of Daily Disciples, spoke to a gathering of 400 women about the implications this verse has in our daily lives and the significance of Christ speaking these words shortly before he laid down his own life.
In addition to Tonilee and Bobbye’s teachings, June Hunt was an honored guest and spoke to us about friendship using content from her Biblical Counseling Library. June defined friendship, gave examples of different levels of friendship, spoke about the different friendships of Jesus, analyzed what causes friendships to fail, and presented wise counsel on how to nurture existing friendships and forge new ones. Her entire teaching was laced with scripture and stories representative of God’s work in one woman’s lifetime of friendships.
dotMOM is an event sponsored by LifeWay to encourage, refresh and connect moms. The journey of motherhood is exciting, scary, lovely and challenging, and the conference wants to celebrate moms and help them draw closer to Christ.
Some of the great activities include:
- Keynote sessions from prominent Bible teachers (who are also moms) and parenting experts
- Some of the featured guests include Vicki Courtney, Priscilla Shirer, Angie Smith, John Croyle and Travis Cottrell
- Breakout sessions taught by experienced leaders
- A broad range of breakouts, such as: The Working Mom, Infertility/Adoption, Raising Godly Kids, Single Moms, Home School Moms and more
- Free goodies and giveaways
A handful of us WORDsearch ladies will be leading a break out session called “The Tech-Savvy Woman’s Bible Study Toolkit,” where we’ll demonstrate how to use WORDsearch Bible software. We’ll talk about how WORDsearch can help encourage us day-by-day, build structure into our Bible studies, compare translations, do quick searches, identify affordable resources, and begin to learn a little (or a lot!) about original languages.
As of the last update, 788 moms are registered. It should be an exciting and fun opportunity for us to connect, and we hope to meet some of you there. The conference registration is still open, so if you or anyone you know might be interested, sign up here.
What is the greatest lesson you have learned as a parent?
Significant changes have been taking place at WORDsearch, especially since July of 2011. Changes are being made that will benefit you. You may already be aware that in 2011 WORDsearch acquired QuickVerse Bible Software and shortly thereafter was then acquired by LifeWay Christian Resources. LifeWay, one of the world’s largest providers of Christian products and services, has been serving Christians and churches since 1891. LifeWay operates over 160 Christian stores throughout the United States (there’s probably one near you). This is wonderful news for you because it ensures that your investment in a digital library has a secure and exciting future. LifeWay’s vision is simply stated as Biblical Solutions for Life. This applies more than ever to Bible software.
