A Minute for Missions

IMG_4183Recently, my husband Henry and I went on a LifeWay sponsored mission trip to Kaohsiung, Taiwan.  Along with us, six other individuals from Lifeway in Nashville, Tennessee went to minister to the lost souls of Taiwan.

Every year Lifeway sponsors numerous mission trips to places all over the world, from the island of Taiwan to the jungles of Honduras, and they are open to any LifeWay employee across the United States. My Favorite Study Tool…WORDsearch by Dr. Rod Mattoon

index~~element123I have been asked to write about how I use WORDsearch in my message preparations and
studies. Let me say up front that I use WORDsearch almost every single day because I study every
day. There are two main features that help me immensely.
1. The “Topics” button.
A. Subject Research
This tool enables me to do in-depth studies on any particular subject I want to research. For
example, I am preaching through the book of Job right now and wanted to find material on “Trials.”
By finding verses and information about “trials,” I can then form an outline on this particular subject
or incorporate the principles into my message.

A Message from WORDsearch’s Austin Bush

19094_10102730854497570_413666385_nI have only had the pleasure of working with the WORDsearch software for the past year and a half, but in that span it has opened my eyes to two key things.

First off, growing up in the generation that I did, I really connect well with the use of technology.   To have the Word of God laid out so simply for me to read and study has truly helped me interpret the Word like I’ve  never been able to do before.  The use of the ‘Parallel Bible’ feature has been a huge help for me personally in understanding how multiple different translations get the message across.  Also, to have my preferred Bible of choice open (HCSB) alongside a couple different commentaries, I have found that my studies have been able to reach a new level of depth, resulting in a much clearer understanding of the true meaning of the Word.

“How I Use WORDsearch” – Customer Testimonial

guest_post_med

My name is Eddie Baker, and I am a 61-year-old truck driver. I never did well in school, reading and studying was not easy for me. At 37 God changed my life and my desire, and also my ability to study. I did my best to be faithful to the call to read and study the Bible. But as in earlier years, study was still difficult. One day a thought came to me that a computer would help me with my poor spelling, studying and searching skills. I got a laptop and began to learn how to use it.

“How I Use WORDsearch” – Customer Testimonial

Praise the Lord brothers and sisters of the most high God. Let me tell you quite frankly when I was asked to give my testimony about how WORDsearch software products help me in my sermon preparation I was stunned and honored and did not feel worthy.  Nevertheless to God be the glory. From the very beginning of my Christian journey I knew I would become a pastor and was unsure of where I would get my training. WORDsearch Bible software changed that for me.
