Quick Tip for iOS – Search Within Text

This week’s Quick Tip is for users of the WORDsearch iOS app.

In the app you can quickly search for a term within the text of your library’s books. This will help you narrow down which of you books mention the term you want to search, and help you decide which results you would like to read. This way, you can see every mention of that term in your library to help you read everything you can about it without having to go through all of your books trying to find the information you need.

You can do this search within text from the home screen. This is where you can search your library’s contents for a term.

Type the term in the pop-up and tap Search. It will show you how many times that term appears per category.

Tap the category to see what specific books include your term.

Tap the book you would like to see results from to see where in the book it mentions your search term.

Tap the result, and it will take you to that part of the book in your reading pane.

You can go back to the search results by tapping the search icon again.
