dotMOM Conference

banner_02Next Friday and Saturday WORDsearch will be attending the dotMOM conference in Frisco, TX!

dotMOM is an event sponsored by LifeWay to encourage, refresh and connect moms. The journey of motherhood is exciting, scary, lovely and challenging, and the conference wants to celebrate moms and help them draw closer to Christ.

Some of the great activities include:

  • Keynote sessions from prominent Bible teachers (who are also moms) and parenting experts
  • Some of the featured guests include Vicki Courtney, Priscilla Shirer, Angie Smith, John Croyle and Travis Cottrell
  • Breakout sessions taught by experienced leaders
  • A broad range of breakouts, such as: The Working Mom, Infertility/Adoption, Raising Godly Kids, Single Moms, Home School Moms and more
  • Free goodies and giveaways

A handful of us WORDsearch ladies will be leading a break out session called “The Tech-Savvy Woman’s Bible Study Toolkit,” where we’ll demonstrate how to use WORDsearch Bible software. We’ll talk about how WORDsearch can help encourage us day-by-day, build structure into our Bible studies, compare translations, do quick searches, identify affordable resources, and begin to learn a little (or a lot!) about original languages.

As of the last update,  788 moms are registered. It should be an exciting and fun opportunity for us to connect, and we hope to meet some of you there. The conference registration is still open, so if you or anyone you know might be interested, sign up here.

My name is Eddie Baker, and I am a 61-year-old truck driver. I never did well in school, reading and studying was not easy for me. At 37 God changed my life and my desire, and also my ability to study. I did my best to be faithful to the call to read and study the Bible. But as in earlier years, study was still difficult. One day a thought came to me that a computer would help me with my poor spelling, studying and searching skills. I got a laptop and began to learn how to use it.

Healthy food 13 Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, 14 but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

–JOHN 4:13-14

The idea of eating and drinking is fascinating, isn’t it? It’s definitely one of the many pleasures God affords us, but it’s also a universal aspect of life that bridges people of vastly different cultures and language. I count myself a  fortunate person having moved to Austin a little over a year ago, where the foodie culture here enjoys nationwide renown for its culinary novelties and international tastes. This is how I know God loves Texas. It’s true.

“How I Use WORDsearch” – Customer Testimonial

Praise the Lord brothers and sisters of the most high God. Let me tell you quite frankly when I was asked to give my testimony about how WORDsearch software products help me in my sermon preparation I was stunned and honored and did not feel worthy.  Nevertheless to God be the glory. From the very beginning of my Christian journey I knew I would become a pastor and was unsure of where I would get my training. WORDsearch Bible software changed that for me.

“How I Use WORDsearch” – Customer Testimonial

image001I have had the privilege of ministering God’s Word for nearly 50 years. Like many fellow pastors I have often struggled with having enough time to get everything that seems to be screaming for my attention done. To be sure there were times I did not respond Biblically to those struggles, but received God’s forgiveness and continued to serve the Lord. As the Lord kept working with me by His grace, I came to realize that growing in my personal walk with Jesus Christ was more important than my administrative responsibilities, the spiritual care of God’s people, evangelistic outreach, and the ministry of His Word to His people.  That concept was reinforced by the ministry to missionaries in several countries that God developed over a period of time.
