Staff Pick – The 365-Day Devotional Commentary

4CEach week the blog will feature a favorite book of a staff member that’s available on WORDsearch.

For years and years, I’ve been trying to successfully read through the entire Bible. I’ll invariably get bogged down somewhere in Leviticus or somewhere in the minor prophets, if I’m lucky to make it that far. Around the beginning of this year though, I decided to take a good look at one of the books we were having a promotion on: The 365-Day Devotional Commentary by Lawrence Richards.

Your Original WORDsearch iPad App is Now Available for Reinstalling

wsb_classic_email
Here is some good news if you’ve been wanting us to bring back the original WORDsearchiPad app. Your old app is now available. You can reinstall it and use it as you did in the past.

WORDsearch Bible Classic – In the App Store Now

While we continue fixing the bugs in the new app, you can now reinstall your original version of the app. We were required to give it a new name, so just go to the Apple App Store and search for WORDsearch Bible Classic. If you are on your iPad now, you can find it by clicking here.

Just sign in with your email address and password to install. If you’ve already installed the new app, it’s not necessary to delete it from your iPad. This way, you’ll automatically be notified each time a corrected and updated version of the new app is available. You can have both apps on your iPad at the same time. It’s your choice. You can run the old app, the new app or both.

New Update Available for iPad

IPadPhoneBIn my last communication to you, I shared that we were working on some improvements to the new iPad app. We have corrected many of the problems in a new update that is now available in the App Store, and we are continuing to work on a few other issues.

Our current solution is to continue bringing you regular updates on the new app until it delivers a better experience than the older version and much more.

With this latest update, you can now:

  • Copy and paste using books in your WORDsearch library
  • View books you have recently read
  • View only books that you have downloaded to your iPad
  • Sync Bibles and commentaries more reliably
  • Set your default Bible
  • Find book titles now sorted with “The,” “An” and “A” removed

Staff Pick – Men of Character: Joseph

MOCJosephEach week the blog will feature a favorite book of a staff member that’s available on WORDsearch.

The best book I have read recently is Joseph from the Men of Character series by Gene Getz. It’s a great Bible study manual, and it’s written in that creative leader building style that Gene has been known for over the past five decades.

I love biographies, I love to read how people overcome adversity and I love to learn stuff. I also relate to Joseph’s trials. I was the last of five brothers, who all shared one bedroom. I was seven years younger than the closest brother next to me, and I was also a victim of older sibling torture.

This book has renewed my spirit again and again and has reminded me how using biblical principals instead of fights can produce better relationships and champion over any attacks and trials in my life.
